The day explored the commonalities in Meditation and Contemplation in Christianity, Buddhism, and The Yoga tradition of Krishnamacharya. Valuable practices from the traditions above were used including music, breathing, chanting and use of the senses.

Father Toby Boutle of St George’s Church explored what might be distinctive in Christ’s own teaching about prayer. There was an opportunity to consider how that might inform our own practice of prayer and contemplation, looking particularly at the following themes as they appear in the gospels - humility in prayer, confidence and openness and the incarnation and spirituality.

Saturday 1st December 2018 The Rt Rev Dr Martin Warner The Bishop of Chichester spoke about The Habit of Holiness - Praying in the Benedictine tradition.
